Getting children and teens to answer detailed questions about embarrassing bodily functions requires establishing a comfortable relationship up front and those connections are what makes my job so much fun. Helping the child and the parents understand the medical evaluation, treatment plan, and outcome goals are usually the most important part of the visit.
